When not working with clients, Kittie finds rejuvenation and joy painting with watercolor. Originally interested in interior design in college, Kittie was encouraged to explore her artistic creativity by her cousin, Stephen R. McCrae, an award-winning artist who studied at the Parson School of Design in New York City. In 1996, Steve invited her to attend the Leroy Springs Watercolor Workshop which he founded and directed from 1981-2001. While taking a beginning class with Fran Larsen in 1996, Kittie found her passion for watercolor. This stimulated a journey of self-examination, curiosity and wonder. Now, Kittie travels to Santa Fe, NM at least once every year to learn from Fran, her painting mentor and friend.

Over the past twenty years, Kittie has encouraged many women friends to rediscover their artist gifts. You will delight in the visual diversity of these women who include a home schooling mom, Pulitzer Prize winner, a sought-after leadership consultant, university mathematician educator, legally blind country singer, and more.
